One of the most appalling acts that a person can do is abandon a helpless dog. Dogs that are dumped in remote areas are only rescued if passersby spot and report their location. Otherwise, they have a very low chance of surviving.
Luckily, the dog in this story was fortunate enough to get saved.
Hindoong is a small white dog who stayed inside a small storage room near a highway. He wore a collar that was too tight on his neck, which gave him unsightly wounds. People who lived a few blocks from the storage unit saw him wandering and reported the situation to animal rescuers.
The rescuers inquired about Hindoong’s situation. They asked how such a dog had appeared in that area. The rescuers were then told the heartbreaking tale by the residents.
Hindoong had been dropped off by a black car, and he was not the only one. He had another with him that was just as small but with black fur. After a few days, the black dog disappeared, leaving Hindoong all alone. Nobody knew what had happened to the other dog.
After hearing the story, the rescuers decided to commence the rescue operation as fast as possible. They could no longer delay the mission and prolong the dog’s suffering. Fortunately, it wasn’t hard to catch Hindoong. The rescuers followed him and sneaked behind him, which eventually led him to be captured.
When Hindoong was sent to a veterinarian, he received a well-needed treatment on his neck. They removed that collar that was far too tight. It was a delicate procedure, but Hindoong had no complications. He was very cooperative once he understood that people were trying to help him.
The dog would likely remain in the animal clinic until fully recovered. After that, the rescuers would pick him up and work on finding people to adopt him. The residents who spotted him might be interested in giving him a home for good.
