Tara is a compassionate dog lover who had been searching for a dog to adopt. She had no idea that she would wind up with two canines who would forever change her life.
Huey was rescued by a local animal shelter and fostered by Tara’s neighbors. When Tara learned about Huey’s history, she immediately fell in love with him and offered to care for him.
Soon after, Tara and her girlfriend submitted an adoption application for Huey. They both appreciated the dog’s kindness and affection, so they concluded that they made the right decision.
Huey loved his new home and his two mothers. With so many toys and so much attention, he was spoiled, but Tara always felt something was lacking.
When Tara and her partner were browsing social media one day, they came across Bella, a 5-pound Chihuahua that was available for adoption. Tara instantly fell in love with Bella’s photographs and realized that she would be Huey’s ideal partner.
The couple submitted an application to adopt Bella, and a woman visited their home to determine whether they could care for another dog. Fortunately, the woman believed that the couple had the right kind of loving home that Bella would enjoy.
The adoption process took a few days, but Tara and her girlfriend were happy when everything was finalized. They brought Bella home and were excited to see how Huey would react.
Despite being quite dissimilar, Huey and Bella became fast friends. On her very first day to be in her new home, Bella cuddled up next to her older brother.
Huey and Bella built a stronger friendship as time went by. They started doing everything with their mothers and ended the day by cuddling on the couch. Tara and her girlfriend were overjoyed to finally complete their family and give their two dogs the happiness they deserved.
