Countless dogs don’t get to live the life that they deserve. Many of them are owned by people who simply don’t have any idea how to take care of a dog. However, some are owned by people who are just physically incapable of giving a dog the life that they deserve.
A dog named Frankie spent the first year of his life living with an elderly woman. Frankie’s owner didn’t know how to take care of him and she wasn’t even able to take him on walks. Frankie never socialized with other dogs and rarely left the yard.
All Frankie got from his elderly owner was food and water and the occasional belly scratches and head pats. Unfortunately for Frankie, his owner soon passed away and his life took a turn for the worse. Frankie was left alone in his yard with no one to feed him or give him love.
Thankfully, a family member reached out to an organization called DAR Animal Rescue about Frankie. Soon after the rescue volunteers got permission from the family, they didn’t waste any time rescuing Frankie.
The rescuers soon found a cluttered yard where Frankie lived. When they hopped the fence to enter the property, Frankie got frightened and hid under a car. The rescuers knew that Frankie was scared and tried to win his trust by giving him tasty treats.
Thankfully, the treats worked and Frankie was coaxed out from his hiding place. After securing Frankie, the rescuers immediately took him to the veterinarian for an initial check-up. Frankie was given his vaccination and was neutered so he would be finally ready to find his forever home.
Frankie is starting to learn how to play with other dogs and he’s also adjusting to his new life. He’s also learning to walk with a leash on and enjoy the world like how a young pup should. Here’s a video featuring Frankie’s rescue.
