Having more time at home means that many of us are taking up new hobbies that we never had time for before. People aren’t the only ones who do this. As you can see, this cute dog from Washington has been spending his quarantine in the most unusual and productive way – and the internet can’t get enough of him.
Hailey Adair is 29 years old and has been working from home since the start of the stay-at-home order in their area due to the pandemic. In order to take a break from all of it, she decided to teach her dog, Darrel, how to ride a skateboard.
Darrel was clearly bored in the house since the lockdown, so Hailey thought that taking some skateboarding lessons would be a fun thing for them to do together. As soon as she bought a skateboard, Hailey spent at least half an hour every day teaching Darrel how to use it.
The dog was very excited when the skateboard was shown to him by his fur mom for the first time. He jumped up on it and tried it out right away. As a way to capitalize on the dog’s excitement, Hailey then taught him how to ride a skateboard.
Darrel didn’t take long to start pushing himself on the board on his own, and he did it quickly.
It took him some time, but in the end, he was able to play on this board on wheels. During every walk with Nick, Hailey’s partner, he would be excited to ride his board and go around the neighborhood.
Darrel is always excited to see other skateboarders out on the streets. After these skateboarders got over their surprise at seeing a dog on a board, they were quite impressed with him.
The dog’s skateboarding lessons aren’t done yet, though. The couple is now teaching him how to skate in the park like a pro. This is a place where you can commonly see Darrel in action.
