We are all aware of the intelligence of our pet dogs. They can quickly master tough skills such as bomb detection, dancing, or playing the piano.
With a skill he recently learned, an adorable Texas dog topped the list of smartest dogs globally.
Something unexpected occurred as officers from the Odessa Police Department in Texas were performing their duty one morning. A cute dog walked into the lobby and perched himself up on the front counter with his paws.
The authorities suspected that he was a lost dog because he was alone and no humans were in sight. In contrast to other lost animals or youngsters, the dog seemed nonchalant about his situation. In fact, he was wagging his tail with delight when he reported himself missing. It looked like he was enjoying his situation and was quite ecstatic about it.
Sergeant Rusty Martin, one of the on-duty cops, assisted in the search for the missing animal. During the dog’s excursions, the identification tag appeared to have slipped off (or misadventures). The officers then contacted animal control to determine if the dog was microchipped.
While they waited, the officers got the opportunity to amuse the dog with a tennis ball. In the lobby, they engaged him in a few games of fetch and lavished him with petting and belly rubs.
However, the dog had already left the station and was on his way home when the animal control officers arrived. It turns out that he wasn’t actually lost. He only desired to surprise the local law enforcement officers and inject some excitement into their otherwise routine workweek.
His fur parents stated that he returned home safely that day and that his name is Chico. The agency and officials at the police station stated that Chico was welcome to return.
