Some dogs have weird habits that their owners find amusing or entertaining. Such habits are usually harmless and do not need to be changed or corrected. For example, a tiny dog named Louise loves to walk backward when climbing a small stair leading to a sofa.
Louise is a senior dog that has grown physically fragile throughout the years. With that in mind, her owners placed several small stairs all over their home to help her get around. If ever she wanted to get on a couch or a chair, she could climb small stairs to get to them instead of jumping.
While there’s nothing remarkable about how Louise uses the stairs, she uses one particular stair differently. She always walks backward when using that specific stair. Her owners could never figure out why the dog does that.
The owners believe that Louise walks backward due to knee problems. However, if that were the case, she would do that while using every small stair in the house. Yet, since she only walks backward on one stair, their guess might not be correct.
Louise is overweight for a small dog, but her owners still try their best to ensure she has a balanced diet. She also has the usual heart problems associated with chihuahuas. Despite all of that, her owners do not see her as a burden but rather as something they treasure.
Louise isn’t the type of dog who gets excited about outdoor walks, even when she was younger. She prefers sleeping and cuddling with her owners. The only time she exercises is when she is playing with other dogs.
Louise’s owners appreciate her for what she is, a calm and laidback dog. They wouldn’t want her to be anything else, especially knowing that she has experienced a rough life in the past. They want her to live the best life possible until her last breath.
