A troubled dog eventually got rescued from freezing conditions after being ignored several times by people passing by. The dog had been looking for help for quite some time before finally, someone realized that and called a rescue team.
A Siberian dog rescue shelter, Mladenovac, was informed about the dog sleeping in a drainage pipe located by the side of the road. The shelter was told that the dog would get out of the pipe and look for some help if someone passed by. The rescuers knew that because of the cold weather, the dog might not survive for long, so they immediately went looking for the dog.
When the rescue team reached the reported location, they found some drainage pipes covered with snow. The team searched the area and located some paw prints that led to an open pipe. When the team reached the pipe, the dog emerged from there as she had realized that someone was standing outside.
When the rescuers checked the pipe, they found three babies that belonged to the dog. The puppies were too frightened to come out of the pipe. The rescuers tried to get the puppies out by sending their mom back inside the pipe, assuming that the pups might come out by following their mother, but the ploy didn’t work. The rescue team also tried some food to bring the puppies out, but they were too young to eat.
The rescuers tried the solution of a brush and stick, which eventually did the work. When the puppies came out, the rescuers hurried them along with their mother to a local veterinary hospital.
After getting the treatment, the canine family was brought to the shelter where the mama and her pups got a full meal and a warm place to rest.
The dogs and their mother will be available for adoption once the puppies are weaned.
