James Xuereb from Guelph, Ontario, Canada is one loving fur dad. He felt devastated when his two dogs, Lucy and Nemo, crossed the Rainbow Bridge three weeks apart from each other. The two dogs died of congestive heart failure due to old age.
The family mourned for the death of the two dogs, but James was the most devastated.
Wanda, James’ wife, and Jaleen, his daughter, wanted to make him feel happy and to move on from the loss of his beloved dogs. They planned to give him a puppy as a present for his birthday.
At first, Jaleen handed a birthday card to James. The envelope had a message on it telling him that his birthday present was about to arrive. James looked blunt when he got the envelope. When he opened the envelope, the card had a photo of a white puppy on the front.
Jaleen then asked his father to read the card, but he was only able to read the first line. He already started crying because he already knew that he would have a new dog to love. The dog’s name was Lumo, a combination of the names of their previous dogs (Lucy and Nemo). He was a Bichon Frise who was ready to provide James love and happiness.
James couldn’t stop crying that his daughter finished reading the message on the card.
As soon as James held Lumo in his arms, he couldn’t stop hugging him. He was so happy that he had a new dog to love and to take care of. He missed Lucy and Nemo so much, but as soon as he saw Lumo, he knew in his heart that they came back into his life.
James’ happiness as soon as he holds Lumo is an indication that he is ready to love and create new memories with him.
Happy birthday, James! We wish you happiness as you raise Lumo to be a fine dog.
