The majority of us fantasize about going across the county and exploring the rest of the world. However, life and responsibilities, such as jobs, businesses, and caring for children, come in the way of our plans. Some people, on the other hand, choose to just go with the risks and live their lives as they like.
After all their children had grown up and then left the house, couple Cate and Chad Battles did just that. They chose to journey across the country in a camper van after realizing that there was more to life. They sold their home and business to start their own lives, just the two of them.
Cate and Chad, however, weren’t traveling alone. They traveled across the country with their two pets right with them. They all traveled across the United States with their dog, Maggie, and goat, Frankie.
Maggie has been a member of the family for 12 years now, while Frankie has been with them for four years. Maggie and Frankie are genuinely best friends, which is hard to believe. The dog and the goat had really been inseparable since they first met.
Frankie and Maggie are excellent adventure companions. They are drawn to the great outdoors and really are filled with energy and life when they are hiking. Frankie is also an outstanding family guard goat.
Frankie began making spitting sounds while they were strolling down the Rogue River on their way to Rainie Falls. Goats create a spitting sound to warn others that they are in danger.
Soon enough, Cate and Chad eventually came across a family of bears crossing the river just a few hundred meters away. Frankie was actually advising them to stay away from the deadly animals in the area.
Maggie has a wonderful sister in Frankie. The dog is getting on in years and is beginning to go deaf, so Frankie would warn her if something was wrong.
The two creatures enjoy exploring beaches and climbing on rugged cliffs.
Cate and Chad are overjoyed that they have the opportunity to travel across the country with their pets. They’ve gone viral after sharing their stories on numerous social media channels.
Here’s a video of Cate and Chad’s excursion with Maggie, their senior dog, and Frankie, their goat.
