Stories of persistence and of not giving up, no matter how hard things get, have been great motivations for many people. It has helped many endure their trials and think positively about their circumstances. It’s normal for us humans to go through hardship, but we are not the only ones having a hard time. Dogs also have their own struggles, and just like most of us, dogs can also endure their trials and come out victorious.
Manny is a sweet beagle who has a life story that every one of us can learn from. The 8-year-old pup is paralyzed in his back legs, so the only way he could move is to crawl. Having an infirmity is already hard enough for the pup, but having no family to care for him makes it even sadder.
Manny’s family abandoned the pup, but fortunately, a kind stranger decided to help him. The stranger first saw Manny on the road looking for scraps of food and a place he could use as a shelter. Moved with pity, the stranger took the pup to a local animal rescue shelter.
After a while, Manny was taken by the Ramapo Bergen Animal Rescue Inc., where he began his treatment. Because of being paralyzed for a long time, the pup has lost control over his bladder and cannot feel pain. Sadly, his veterinarian also said that the pup would never walk again and would need a wheelchair to live better. But though Manny is in a bad state, he has no signs of abuse or trauma.
Manny is a strong and sweet pup who has a positive attitude no matter what life throws at him. He hopes of having a family who will take care and love him forever. If you are interested in helping Manny or know anyone, please contact Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.
