Blue was formerly a stray dog in Cappadocia, Turkey when Wes and Enes, a couple of full-time travelers, found him. They saw the injured dog by the side of the road, covered in blue paint. And this is where his name originated.
Wes and Enes really had no idea what had happened to the poor dog, and nobody was available to help him. Eventually, a mother dog and three pups that resembled Blue appeared. The mother dog sniffed him and then left him with the humans.
The couple realized that they could not abandon Blue, so they decided to bring him back to their hotel. When they arrived, they gave the dog a warm bath to remove all the paint. He appeared completely at ease as he lay on Enes’ lap after his bath. They then dressed his wounds and dried him off.
Blue was able to take a few hours of rest. However, at two in the morning, the dog woke up weeping and wailing in excruciating pain. So Wes and Enes decided to take Blue to an emergency veterinarian.
At the vet, Blue was given the necessary vaccinations and medication. The veterinarian stated that if they had not brought Blue in, he would not have survived. The dog remained at the clinic for 10 days until he recovered. When he was ready to return home, Wes and Enes were waiting for him.
The couple took the puppy with them as they traveled throughout Turkey. Blue was beginning to make the transition from being a stray dog to a pet. The more time he spent with his rescuers, the more his genuine nature emerged.
Wes and Enes were deeply in love with Blue, but their nomadic lifestyle prevented them from adopting him. They were aware that the dog needed a home in which he could grow up in and have a routine. Therefore, they located the ideal family for him and brought him all the way to Denver, Colorado.
When Blue first met his new humans, it was evident that he was fully at ease with everyone, particularly their Golden Retriever, who became his best friend immediately. Thanks to the lovely couple Wes and Enes for rescuing this dog, he now has a forever home filled with so much love and affection.
