Every pup has at least one favorite toy they couldn’t bear losing. For this adorable border collie from Sydney, Australia, this was a strawberry plush toy that squeaks when touched.
Marley first saw the plush toy while he was out shopping with his fur mom, Hayley Martin, about a year ago. The moment he set eyes on the plushie, he immediately knew he wanted to bring it home. Thankfully, after showing Hayley how much he adored the strawberry trinket, she decided to buy it for him.
From that moment on, Marley’s strawberry squeaky toy had become his permanent accessory. He would bring the toy wherever he went and doted on it all day and all night. However, no matter how careful he was with the toy, it eventually got too worn out to be played with.
Hayley mentioned that she finally threw the plush toy after it got soaked in mud, and she couldn’t recover it anymore. Of course, she immediately went back to the store they bought it from to get a new one for Marley. But she was heartbroken to discover that the toy had been long discontinued.
She didn’t stop there, though. She began posting her dilemma online, asking if anyone knew where to find the elusive plushie. Fortunately, her post reached a store manager that still had a few of the toys on hand.
When the manager reached out to Hayley, she told her that she would send over two of the strawberry plushies for Marley to enjoy. Hayley was excited to hear the news, and she even became more excited when the package arrived a couple of days later.
However, when she and Marley finally opened the box, they were stunned to see not two toys but twenty! Marley was so overjoyed at the sight that he couldn’t even pick which one to play with. Look at the happy border collie here.
