John Cassabria is an animal enthusiast who works for e-commerce company Amazon. He grew up in a home with many pets. Now, he has four dogs, four cats, and even a snake as pets. However, what he had experienced while on duty was certain to remain in his memory forever.
Cassabria made a mistake turn while traveling through Woburn, Massachusetts with his automobile. He briefly stopped his vehicle in order to move his GPS tracker. However, he observed an odd sound emanating from the neighbor’s yard.
He followed the sound until he reached a fenced-in yard. He took a quick look over the fence to confirm, but it simply caused him to panic. He observed a dog fighting to stay afloat in the water.
He instantly dove into the water and swam out of the pool carrying the dog. He immediately got out his phone and dialed the number for the Woburn Police Department. The agency’s assigned animal control officer happened to reside nearby and knew the owners by chance.
As soon as the woman named Julie Caldwell learned what had happened to her dog, she dropped her phone and began to cry. She claims that she never anticipated Luka to be near the pool. According to Julie, Luca has a doggie door that he utilizes when he wants to go outdoors, but he typically returns inside.
She had asked her neighbor to monitor the dog while she was out earlier that day, but it may have escaped and gone to the pool area. Julia thanked Cassabria immediately. She added that words cannot express how grateful her family was for him.
She even emailed Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, to inform him that one of his employees saved her puppy from drowning. All due to Cassabria, Luka was now safe and sound.
