A Pitbull named Leo was adopted by Tina when he was very young. He was immediately weaned from his mother, so Tina had to bottle-fed him. Bottle-feeding a very young pup was a hard job, but Tina never complained at all. The motherly care and love that Tina had shown to Leo were admirable.
Leo grew up to be a friendly and sweet dog. He also became fond of the UPS driver named Katie Newhouser who always delivers packages in their apartment complex. Leo would become excited every time he would hear the delivery truck approaching. The UPS driver, on the other hand, would let him sit on the driver’s side for a few minutes while he did his job of dropping off packages.
Leo and Katie became best friends. Katie even recalled that Leo would even pop out his head from the car to “greet” her.
When Katie heard that Tina passed away, she immediately thought of Leo. She was concerned about the dog’s welfare. Katie was an animal lover, and she knew that it would be very hard for Leo to cope with the loss of his fur mom. She contacted Tina’s son, Cannon, if he could take care of Leo. Unfortunately, he was currently serving in the military so he couldn’t find time to take care of the dog.
With this predicament, Katie volunteered to foster Leo until the family could make some arrangements for Leo.
Katie has three dogs and two cats at home. At first, she was hesitant to bring Leo home because he might not be used to be having other animal companions at home. Katie observed that Leo had some adjustment issues because he missed Tina, but later on, he was able to be friends with Katie’s pets.
Later on, Katie decided to adopt Leo for good!
Leo, build new memories with your new fur momma!
