Laureana and Dorothea are sisters who live with their Hungarian Vizsla, Leo, on a vast property. They take turns caring for him and have no complaints about him whatsoever. They adore him as if he were their own child, and they know he feels great love for them as well.
The sisters believe that Leo is their ideal dog. He is submissive, gentle, and really sweet. However, what they did not realize about him is that he is capable of caring about and loving someone who is completely different from himself.
One day, a mother deer came up to the family property and abandoned her young. She returned the next day, but the sisters never saw her again after that. She never returned, prompting Laureana and Dorothea to interfere.
The doe, now known as Ludovica, was plainly frail and starving. Her legs shook and she was unable to stand firmly. Likely, she was too slow, so her mother chose to leave her behind.
Every two hours, Ludovica was fed by her sisters. No matter the time of day, Leo was always available to assist them. After observing her sip milk from her bottle, he proceeded to groom her.

Ludovica spends the majority of her time in the forest, but she frequently visits Leo. She stops by to say hello and plays with him for several hours before returning to the forest.
