Hope for Paws got a call for a dog that’s been abandoned by his owner in a school. The caller mentioned that he’s been in the corner for around two weeks now and won’t respond to anyone. People attempted to get him to come out, but he simply remained in his corner, ignoring all calls.
JoAnn and Katie from the animal rescue organization, arrived at a sad and tired-looking spaniel with a heart-shaped mark on his forehead. The poor puppy was marked with love but was abandoned, anxious, and depressed.
They tried to lure the puppy with a chicken burger, patiently waiting for him to come out a bit. By the looks of him, Someone probably took him for a walk but left him in the elementary school. The depressed and lonely look reflected in his eyes is enough to melt anyone’s heart.
It was hard to reach him with the tight space, so JoAnn got the snare and gently pulled him out. However, the dog panicked and got terrified of having a leash around his neck, so they took the trap off while trying to calm him down. After a while, he was ready to go to the clinic.
At the clinic, he was a rather charming, good boy while they groomed and bathed him. He started brightening up a bit, seemingly regaining some joy and excitement for life.
Two happy weeks later, the sad, disappointed spaniel is nowhere to be found. He has found love and happiness from his foster home at LA Animal Rescue, a nonprofit organization that accepts all abandoned animals regardless of breed, age, or status.
Rufus, as his rescuers decided to name him, turned out to be a sweet, playful, and happy dog. He loves to happily run around and spend pleasant moments with his foster family. He is still waiting for his forever fur family, but we do know that once he finds them, he will love them with all of his two hearts.
