Dogs can be pretty stubborn creatures, and every dog owner out there can attest to it. But sometimes, a dog’s refusal to do what we want it to do can be quite funny —like when these dogs refused to go to the vet. They certainly didn’t like that one bit.
Here’s the story of how this Golden Labrador named Zazu and German Short-Haired Pointer Walle reacted upon realizing they were going to the vet.
Zazu and Walle were scheduled to go to the vet for their annual shots. Zazu is the smarter one of the two dogs and he always seems to be able to sense when something is up. So when mom tried to lead him down to the vet’s, he immediately pulled away and plopped down, refusing to move.
He tugged on the leash and whined his protests. He knew exactly where he was being taken to, and he didn’t want any part of it!
Meanwhile, Walle had no qualms about going out because he’s a high-energy dog who takes any opportunity to go outside. He even wagged his tail a little bit as he walked.
When he arrived at the vet’s place, it became apparent to Walle that he had been tricked. He immediately started shaking and peeing uncontrollably—poor guy! He must have been petrified at the thought of getting shots. In contrast, Zazu calmly accepted his fate in the capable hands of the good vet and his assistant.
It’s amazing how differently the dogs reacted when they realized they were going to the vet! While Walle shook with fear, Zazu seemed resigned to the whole situation. Mad props to these two for facing their fears!
