Bringing home a newborn baby when you have a pet can be worrisome. For example, dogs can be quite jealous when there is a new family member who always gets your attention. But it’s different for this yellow Labrador. For her, a baby brother is the most beautiful thing that ever happened.
The yellow lab is such a sweet pooch. You can see her standing by her parents and baby brother in the video, looking like she’s smiling like a proud older sister. However, that is not just what’s impressive. The real spectacle is that she also helps with taking care of the baby. When the baby turned in bed, tosses, and then kicks off his blanket, she pulls it back to him.
The lab even watches her new sibling as he sleeps — and the look in her eyes melts warms our hearts. And when the baby is going to have his entertainment, she’s also there to see the latest episode of his favorite show.
In one adorable moment, when the pup isn’t around, the baby cries. Thankfully, the video of his favorite yellow lab on his mom’s phone soothes him. It instantly makes him stop crying. It seems pretty apparent that the two share lots of love.
The parents took the videos of the dog and baby over a few months. The bond between the two only strengthened as time passed by. The sweet pup is there for tummy time to see that nothing goes wrong. She’s also there to act as a bolster while the baby has his during nap time.
The clips that the boy’s parents captured are really magical. Some might even think that the dog may have thought he is her baby because of her care. She’s an excellent nanny, though.
It’s clear that there’s always a parent taking care of the baby, and the dog does not have any real responsibility for keeping the baby safe on her own. But with how she’s doing, we all know that she’ll be up for the task.
