Amy Cerelli is a business owner who runs a dog supplies store in Harrisonburg. She lives in a Virginia suburb together with her boyfriend and their senior pooch, Jersey. One day, while the dog owner was cleaning out her garage, she noticed that her pet was not by her side. That seemed odd to her as the canine rarely ventures away, even if the doors to their house were open.
Amy quickly called her boyfriend and they started looking around their property. The shop owner began to worry as her pooch easily gets stuck in a bush or shrub and might get hurt. So the couple expanded their search and went all over their neighborhood. They went home at three in the morning without finding their precious pet.
Good-hearted kid
It turns out Jersey was taking a stroll and got lost. While he was roaming the sidewalks, a 13-year-old boy named Tyion Hepner saw the lost pooch and he could tell he needed help. The kid was playing outside his home at that time so he easily led the friendly senior dog inside their house. But first, they had to go through Tyion’s mother.
The kid’s mom didn’t want him bringing home stray animals and she wasn’t happy seeing her son walking in with the dog. Tyion begged her to let him help Jersey, he just wanted the pooch to find his way back home. His mother saw how determined he was and she gave in. Tyion then gave the dog a bath, fed him, and took care of all his needs.
Returned
Two days after Jersey went missing, Amy, along with his family and friends, still relentlessly searched for her pet. Their lucky break came when Tyion saw the dog owner’s boyfriend talking to a cop and he overheard their conversation. He quickly approached them and said he had the missing pooch. The good kid went back home and carried Jersey back to his owner.
Amy was so grateful to Tyion for being honest and taking care of her beloved pet. Without his help, the senior canine would have ended up in a dire situation.
