This story is about Lisa Chiarelli and her three-week venture to rescue this abandoned dog. It proves there are good people among us, full of understanding of other’s fear and pain.
Days went by
On the first day, Lisa passed by a recycling plant and spotted a lovely black Pitbull walking down the street.
She wondered what he was doing here and realized that somebody abandoned her. She tried to call her, and she came, but not close enough for Lisa to take her.
She looked scared, and she held her tail between her legs. The dog was frightened and ran away, and Lisa went looking for him. She went around, but Pitbull was nowhere in the area.
Second day: Lisa couldn’t get this beautiful black Pitbull out of her mind, and she went to the place again, looking for her. Lisa saw and stopped to feed her.
Third day: Lisa decided to catch the dog, so she set a dog trap. The dog cautiously approached the trap, and when Pitbull touched it, it activated but missed her.
Days and weeks went by: For days, Lisa went there hoping to regain the trust of this beautiful dog. But as soon as Pitbull saw her car, he would immediately run away.
Lisa used to come back every day, leaving her food and getting more confident again every day. She brought her a small dog house, leaving food inside.
Then Lisa decided to try again
Twenty-first day: She decided to try again and catch her. She came with a friend and set up a trap. She hid the snare and placed food around and inside.
And finally, Pitbull stepped inside and trapped herself. Lisa immediately took her to the vet. The dog was terrified, and she didn’t want to get out of the cage.
It took her an hour, but she came out, her tail bent between her legs. The vet checked, and everything was fine, so they went home.
It all turned out great
The days went by, and the dog became more and more relaxed every day. Lisa and her Pitbull, whom she called Xena, are best friends and live a beautiful life together.
