In this story, we bring the incredible sacrifice of one woman and her passion for dogs. Elli, the founder of Bones and Co, is known for fostering dogs from shelters.
Fate brought them together
So far, she has a foster parent for 63 dogs and found new homes for them. He is a 10-year-old Pit Bull with a leaf injury on his front legs.
He has been in the shelter for a long time, and his health is deteriorating every day. Ellie, when she saw him, had to do something about it.
She immediately took him out of the shelter and drove him to the vet because Chimbey could not stand.
Chimney was given the best care at the hospital and had his legs operated. They let him go home, and Elli slowly brought Chimney back to normal.
He couldn’t stand, and it took a lot of work and exercise to become a healthy dog again. Elli didn’t hesitate to give him all the care and attention he needed.
She did exercises with Chimbey daily so he could walk like everyone else. They regularly went to vets for therapies and practices, and their persistence was terrific.
Chimney’s new family
Elli had bought a Chimney walker so he could move more easily now. And then, one day, a family volunteered to adopt the lovely Chimney.
After a month of practice, he was getting better every day, and today, he is on his way to meeting his new family.
Jannen and Eddie were thrilled to see this brave dog and wanted to do everything to make him healthy again. Jannen and Eddie have a vast yard and another dog, Zoey, who is Chimbey’s new sister. This persistent, brave Pitbull has almost entirely recovered.
Now, with his new family, full of hope and support, he lives his life, and we hope he will reach a profound old age.
