Luiz, a homeless man from Cianorte, Brazil, was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a stroke. What conspired outside of the hospital was nothing anyone would have expected.
Six dogs followed the ambulance that carried Luiz for miles. These were his best friends. These dogs have been living on the streets with him.
They knew something was wrong with their owner and wanted to give their support. When they arrived at the hospital, they waited for Luiz at the front door.
Since the dogs refused to leave, volunteers were called to look after them. The volunteers fed the dogs and took photos of the situation. The dogs even stayed there the whole night waiting for their friend.
In the morning, Luiz was released to his brother where he could recover further. The dogs were not able to see him as he was escorted through a different door.
The dogs still refused to leave and continued staying in front of the hospital, thinking that Luiz is still inside. A volunteer finally picked Luiz up from his brother’s place so he can be reunited with his dogs.
The has been multiple offers to provide Luiz housing, but he has continued to refuse. The idea of sharing the street with his friends is something that he treasures.
This shows how much loyalty dogs can give when they are appropriately treated. No one asked them to wait for Luiz. They did it because they wanted to show him that they are there for him no matter what.
The love and care that Luiz showed them were returned with loyalty. All six dogs are glad that their friend and owner is okay. They are also grateful that he is back with them on the streets.
This is a story of love and loyalty between dogs and their owner. It is such a fantastic scene to witness.
