Amora came from a neglectful household. While she had a roof over her head, she never really experienced a good life. When she got sick, she didn’t receive any medical care. She suffered for a very long time and that caused her body to deteriorate fast.
The poor dog was on the verge of death, and she waited for her to take her last breath. But when she found the opportunity, she gathered all her strength and looked for help. She wandered on the streets for days and eventually walked into someone’s yard.
It was surprising, but the dog seemed to know that the owner of the property would pave the right way for her to get the help she needed. She waited, and when the kind owner spotted her, he knew right away what he had to do. He didn’t shoo him away and called for help instead.
The man contacted Dallas Dog RRR, and rescuers immediately responded. They went to his home, picked the dog up, and drove her straight to the vet.
The rescuers and the entire veterinary staff were astonished when they first saw Amora. They couldn’t believe she was even alive. They weren’t sure she’d make it, but they worked round the clock to try and save her.
Thousands of blood-sucking parasites swarmed Amora. She was literally covered with ticks and fleas, not to mention the maggots that fed off her infected wounds. She was anemic, and she needed blood transfusions to survive.
She was in the worst imaginable condition, but Amora continued to fight for her life. Under the care of her foster mom Kristen, she slowly recovered. She felt better as days passed, and she learned how to overcome her fears.
After months of treatment and rehabilitation, Amora finally recovered. She transformed into a beautiful and confident girl. She trusted humans once again, and soon, she joined a new family that spoiled her from the very start.
