This big and hardy dog named Maggie enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her parents and fur friends. She is from Utah, and she enjoys the place because it offers various activities she could enjoy.
Over the past years, Maggie created memories with her family and friends in Utah. But like any other dog, Maggie’s life is not unlimited. Recently, the dog got diagnosed with terminal cancer, and she was only given a few months to live.
While this development saddened her family, Maggie’s humans wanted to give her a happy sendoff. It was Maggie’s dad who shared the dog’s condition on Facebook.
Since Maggie loves to engage herself in outdoor adventures, she wants to have one last roll in the snow. Her dad then shared the Facebook post to the Salt Lake County Ice Center because the center could fulfill the dog’s wish.
Maggie’s dad specifically requested a shaved ice machine so he and his wife could build a snowbank for the dog. When the plea reached the Salt Lake City Ice Center, they did not think twice about offering help.
The staff from the center immediately sprang to action and fulfilled Maggie’s wish. These folks shaved ice that is sufficient to make Maggie happy for one last time. The staff even put a staked sign bearing “Maggie’s Snow” to make it personal.
The dog’s dad could not believe what happened, but at the same time, he was happy. He and his wife then prepared mimosas and gave them to Maggie. In the photos that Maggie’s dad shared on Facebook, it could be seen that Maggie is having a good time.
But what made the scenario even special was the presence of one of Maggie’s closest fur friends. According to the dog’s dad, he could not ask anything more because Maggie lived her life to the fullest.
