Border collies are some of the most interesting dogs to watch when it comes to physical performance. They excel in agility courses during dog shows and are capable of amazing feats of speed. They excel the most in herding sheep and other livestock, which is something the story below highlights.
One Korean man owns several border collies that help him with herding. The two best dogs of the bunch are Kelly and Conny. They have years of experience when it comes to herding and can command large animals’ attention like cows.
Kelly and Conny are like a well-oiled machine. Their level of coordination and teamwork is outstanding. For example, they can flawlessly guide animals that are far away from their pens.
It’s worth mentioning the effort that went into training Conny and Kelly. Even if they were naturally born for herding, their owner still had to spend months training them. In fact, it was only after a year of training that they were sent to the field to do herding tasks.
The duo’s owner is always adding a new border collie to the pack. Unfortunately, not every one of them is naturally talented. Some take a long time to be decent at the job, just like the one named Camp.
Right off the bat, it can be seen that Camp is fatter than an average border collie. This makes it hard for him to jump over fences. He is also very uncoordinated and appears unthreatening to livestock.
Fortunately, the owner doesn’t give up when it comes to training dogs. He’s positive that he could help Camp improve his abilities. Furthermore, Kelly and Conny can set a good example for him to follow.
Will Camp ever get better at herding sheep? Will he be able to lose weight and jump fences? Find out more on what happens by watching the video below.
