Sometimes rescue pups do way more for people than doggos who were bought from breeders. This is something that dog mom Linda knows a lot about. She has a son, Jonny, who was diagnosed with autism. As expected, the little boy rarely speaks, despite the several therapy sessions that he went through.
If you like reading about dogs on the internet, you will know that our fur babies can sometimes be that silver bullet that solves this problem. Linda had two dogs, but none of them were able to help Jonny. As she said in the video below, their two puppers lived separate lives from his little boy. They couldn’t even get near him.
But when Jonny was eight, they came across Xena. This pittie was abandoned by her previous owners, but luckily, Linda and her family found him. The dog mom was pretty nervous about having a pit bull at first, but when she took Xena home, she was shocked at how she could connect with Jonny.
Right away, the pittie was able to socialize with her son, and the boy didn’t protest. Jonny actually started petting the doggo, and not long after, Jonny kept talking to the pooch. Xena has no training whatsoever, so the fact that she even gets Jonny to sing is just unbelievable.
Because Xena is around, Jonny has started opening up to other people. Whenever the family is outside, Jonny would say hello to strangers and sometimes give them high fives. This miraculous pittie also became the reason why Jonny does his homework.
Before the pooch came into their lives, the little boy would refuse to do his homework, and he would even throw tantrums. But now, Linda just tells his son that he could play with Xena after his homework is done. Sometimes it’s hard to deny that these pups are indeed our furry little angels.
