Not everyone is welcoming and kind toward stray dogs. Most are indifferent toward them, and many are disgusted by the sight of them. However, rarely are there people who harbor prejudice toward these unfortunate animals.
Mongu is a dog that has been a stray for most of her life. However, there’s one place she always frequents whenever she wants to rest or sleep. That is also the place where she gave birth to her puppies. Such a place is owned by a humble Korean man who goes by the nickname Mister.
In the beginning, Mister was not bothered by Mongu’s presence. He allowed her to stay at the side of his home because she didn’t do anything destructive. However, he couldn’t do anything more to help because he was already caring for another dog named Jongu.
One day, something tragic happened to Mister’s dog. When he came home, he saw that Jongu had passed away. The man later discovered that Mongu had attacked Jongu due to an altercation involving Mongu’s puppies.
After the incident, Mister resented Mongu and tried to drive her away from his property. However, the dog always returned to his home every night. Mister eventually gave up on getting rid of Mongu, but his ill feelings remained for years.
Despite his hatred for Mongu, Mister felt pity for her puppies. That’s why he would occasionally bring them food discretely. Of course, he only does that whenever Mongu is not around.
Throughout the years, that man struggled to move on from what had happened to Jongu. His emotional baggage prevents him from forgiving Mongu. However, there are times when he entertains the idea of letting go of his hatred.
