The Galgos del Sol Animal Rescue team rescued a dog with a severe case of mange and named her Sunday. Sunday was unrecognizable, and she looked nowhere near a dog because of how horrible her overall health condition was.
One of the rescue workers, Tina, shared that Sunday was weak and wanted nothing but to lie down. Despite feeling down-and-out, she would still wag her tail whenever people would attend to her as a sign of appreciation and gratefulness.
Sunday enjoyed being with people so much that it gave her hope to fight and keep going. She also loved getting all the attention from everybody, that being spoiled with love and care helped speed up her recovery process.
Tina recalled that Sunday initially had to be fed in an upright position by placing her in a special doggy chair because of her tummy issues. She shared that Sunday loved the chair because she knew it was time to eat yummy food.
Tina and her colleagues eventually received word that Sunday no longer had to eat in a chair anymore. Sunday gradually recovered and started eating like normal dogs do as weeks passed, and everybody could not be prouder of how far Sunday had come.
Tina decided to foster Sunday until she was well enough to be put up for adoption. She recalled how curious Sunday was with her surroundings when they first arrived home, and her cheeky personality started showing up as the days progressed.
Tina shared that she had a lot of dogs at home, and Sunday did not have any problem with any of them when they introduced the pack to her. Tina knew she could no longer let Sunday go because of how attached she had become, so she decided to adopt her for good.
