Our furry friends, like cats and dogs, can be very territorial. They would probably do what it takes to guard their space safe and keep it free from intruders. In fact, a dog would usually bark away at some stranger or start a protest. Some would even demand their owners to follow their orders, just to show their dominance.
But fortunately, not all canines are savages. If well-trained, some dogs would know how to handle their temper. They would know not to be rude to anyone even if the intruder happened to step in their territory.
Moreover, each house dog has their own favorite spots at home. It could be their personal bed, the house’s special carpet, the couch, or even the bed in the master’s bedroom. And the adorable Labrador in this video is a great example to prove our point!
As the short clip starts, you’ll see a golden retriever casually standing right in front of his owner. The couch happens to be the dog’s favorite spot. That day, the pooch seems quite tired and probably wanted to take his much-needed rest. However, he sees his human resting on his favorite couch.
Obviously, he seems to not be pleased about the setup. The pooch is probably wondering why his human was there even if he has made it crystal clear that the couch is his spot. He tries to calm himself and proceeds to use a more polite approach.
The pooch gently taps on his owner’s legs using his paw. This is probably his way to give his owner a gentle nudge to wake up. If this clever dog could talk, he probably would say, ” Hey man, that’s my spot you’re resting on. I suggest you go back to your own place.”
The man then wakes up and sees his wide-eyed pooch staring at him with his tail wagging so relentlessly. The man understood the sign right away and quickly stood up and allowed the pooch to take his rightful spot. The pup immediately cozied himself on his favorite couch and slept away to dreamland.
