We’ve always observed how easy it is for the canine community to befriend other animals. They make it look like there’s nothing to it, and it’s an amazing sight to witness.
Take these young Golden Retrievers who made friends with a couple of chicks at their home in Petaluma, California. They just established themselves as the friendliest puppies out there.
These chicks were given by this wife’s husband as a Christmas present. The baby chickens were so cute as they huddled close to each other while dad held them close to him.
We could tell that this family loves animals, and we’re all praises for them. We need more like them in this world, and many animals do too!
At first, the puppies didn’t seem interested in making the little yellow chickies’ acquaintance. Like any youngsters out there, the young Goldens largely ignored the newcomers in the house.
That didn’t really stay that way for long, though, and that’s where things took a turn for the best. The chicks must have found their puppy friends’ coats warm because they made the most out of them.
One chick rode on the back of one of its golden brothers, and it’s safe to say that they both enjoyed how things went. The baby chickie sat on a puppy’s back, clearly liking the feel of its fur.
Chicks are used to warm places. It’s probably because they grow up mostly being under their mom’s protective wing, so this feeling was only slightly different.
This time, the warmth was underneath them, and they get to enjoy the sights too. Imagine having access to free rides every day, and all because you have a puppy friend.
The adorable puppies didn’t mind having their two-legged friends ride on their backs. That’s just how they operate, and we’ve got to say that these chicks are lucky to have them as pals.
